Cosmo-Sport is happy to announce it’s latest program this week at Le Mans. Asian Le Mans Series LMP3 Champion Patrick Byrne will compete in the highly competitive Michelin Le Mans Cup “Road To Le Mans” support race during the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans event.
Due to compliance with FIA Driver Categorizations Asian Le Mans Series Co-Champion Guy Cosmo will not be eligible to share driving duties with Byrne and will step aside for this one-off event.
Joining the young American will be 2007 Le Mans 24 Hour LMP2 Winner and British sportscar ace Chris Buncombe.
The duo will team up with Spirit of Race in an Onroak Automotive Ligier JS P3 with partners TORXEN and AERO Paint Technologies.
The event will mark Byrne’s debut at the famed Circuit de la Sarthe and a long awaited return for Buncombe since his last appearance in 2011.
On track action begins on Wednesday, June 13th with two practice sessions, two qualifying sessions and two one-hour races Thursday evening and Saturday morning, just before the start of the famed 24 Heures du Mans.
