Cosmo-Sport has booked a number of dates throughout the summer and fall of '08 at Homestead-Miami Speedway! This is an incredibly RARE opportunity to drive your own car at a truly professional motorsports facility. Driving and learning a new race track is a very exciting experience and the road course at Homestead provides a number of new challenges. With two different configurations to choose from, the Cosmo-Sport events at Homestead will provide you the opportunity to drive the twisty, technical infield road course as well as a chance to drive on the high-banks of NASCAR turns 3 & 4!

Homestead also features garages for parking in the shade, first-class facilities and restrooms and an air conditioned lunch and meeting room.

Moroso Motorsports Park: MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR RENOVATION!!

MOROSO MOTORSPORTS PARK TEMPORARILY CLOSES DRAG STRIP AND ROAD COURSE FOR MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR RENOVATION

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APRIL 25th, 2008
Moroso Motorsports Park announced today that their drag strip and road course will close for renovations on May 19 and re-open in the of Fall '08 with new and improved tracks. During this period, the kart track will remain open and available to the Public.

The newly reconfigured 2-mile road course will be 40 feet wide, feature several areas of paved run-off and adhere to the highest FIA safety standards. Soft wall barriers will compliment the tire barriers and concrete walls. The redone drag strip will be concrete to the 660' and have retaining walls extending to the shutdown area.

Hello Everyone!

Here is the third and final installment of how I got to where I currently am - with the Spirit of Daytona Racing Daytona Prototype team. I last left off talking about my first Rolex 24 At Daytona in a new car. I also talked about my good friend Josh Rhem, both how he got me that ride with Darius Grala and a tribute to Rhem's life.

Next on my list was finding a ride for the 12 hours of Sebring, which I did, in an LMP1 prototype (nothing like jumping straight to the top!), and then onward to race with Dag, RJ Valentine and Cegwa for two more races and plenty of testing. That then led to securing two races with Synergy Racing (then known as G&W Motorsports) with teammates Darren Law and Andy Lally (who grew up racing in the same go-kart club as me on Long Island, N.Y.), and then filling in at Duane Neyer Motorsports in the Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series for two races, notching back-to-back victories in only those two starts.

Hello everyone!

To continue my lengthy, yet hopefully interesting, story about who I am, where I came from and how I came to be a part of Grand-Am competition, I figured I'd... well, just... continue my story!

So, I left off last week's journal describing how I had just won the 2002 Star Mazda North American Championship and had absolutely no opportunity in front of me to advance in open-wheel racing (click here to read last weeks story). So on New Year's Day, 2003, I packed my bags, loaded up my tiny little Toyota MR2 with all of my driving gear, my rollerblades and as many clothes as I could fit and drove down to Daytona to hang out at the January test days. Obviously my goal was to introduce myself to teams, owners, crew members, drivers and anybody I could shake hands with. I wanted to race the Rolex 24 At Daytona!

Hello Grand-Am Readers!

My name is Guy Cosmo, and this is the first of my weekly blogs exclusively for Grand-Am.com. I'd first like mention that as many of you may already know, our fellow friend and competitor Jason Workman is still fighting for his life after a critical accident he had just a few weeks ago - and I hope all of you that are reading will take a few moments to keep Jason in your thoughts and prayers. We all look forward to see his smiling face at the track soon again, and behind the wheel of a car like he loves so much.

Cosmo-Sport and Traqmate Attend Brian Redman's Targa 66 @ Moroso!

During the weekend of February 22-24th Cosmo-Sport was on hand to represent Traqmate and show off the amazing GPS Data Acquisition System and how easily it would install in the wide variety of impressive cars running at the event. We threw a Traqmate on the floor of some cars and Guy in the passenger seat for in-car instruction, and that was it! Sold to the highest bidder! Well, sold at 10% off, at least!

The first Cosmo-Sport Track Event is now in the history books and was a success. Some great people and great cars showed up for a beautiful day at Moroso Motorsports Park. There was plenty of clear track, tons of seat time and a bunch of laughs. Thanks to everyone who helped make our first event successful!

Cosmo-Sport is making preparations to host their first Track Event on Wednesday, November 28 at Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Cosmo-Sport Track Events were created to provide a venue for the driving enthusiast to drive their own cars on a race track in a safe, enclosed and exclusive environment where you can explore your cars true capabilities as well as your own driving ability. We provide a staff of professional race car drivers and instructors who will ride passenger with you to provide you with immediate driving instruction and feedback, and help you learn the nuances of driving at speed and expand your capabilities as a driver. We will also have access to Moroso's skid pad, where you can take your car and learn car-control and skid-recovery specific to your vehicle.
