Traqview Software:   $free / Included with system

Traqview.jpg

A data acquisition system is only as good as the analysis program. Traqview is a new approach that merges hard-core data analysis with the fun of a video game. The track-mapping is accurate and gives an instant read on what is happening where. Multi-car playback lets you see graphically who is faster where. Record several cars in a race and replay the entire race in real-time, slow-mo, or fast forward. See their speed, G loads, braking and acceleration for every car on the virtual dashboard.

Traqview has all the tools you need to optimize the performance of both car and driver. For example, you can display graphs like Velocity vs. Distance to see who is faster in which corners and then define a sector on the map and zoom in to see braking points, instantaneous velocities, acceleration points, and transfer speeds through a corner.

Traqview is your single point of contact for everything in the Traqmate System. Use it to upload data from Traqmate, analyze the data, configure of Tracks, Drivers, and Vehicles and Input/Output points, and even to download software and feature upgrades into your Traqmate.

Traqview Video Software:   $99.00

TraqviewVideoSoftware.jpgTraqview Video Software allows you to easily synchronize your video and data for the ultimate experience. Traqview has always focused on being the most user friendly software out there. With this new release everything you asked for is here in one package. It's more powerful, easier to use, and completely integrated.

NOTE: This product is included in the TraqCam packages sold in the store.

Traqview Video will work with the ChaseCam recorders/cameras sold in the Traqmate Store or with your own video camera. With most tape cameras, such as mini-DV camcorders, you will have to capture the video onto your computer using Windows Movie Maker or the software that came with the camcorder.

Great upgrade for those who wish to add the extra element of synchronized video to the data capabilities of our existing Traqview software product.

What's the difference between Traqview and Traqview Video?

Traqview is our free DATA analysis software.

Traqview Video is just like Traqview with the addition of synchronized video in a window capability. It will play the video along with the data or you can go full-screen. Video and data both have single-step and 2x playback making it easy to analyze what is happening in the car.

What types of video files are supported?

Traqview Video supports the ChaseCam MPEG-2 and the popular WMV and AVI formats in 4:3 (standard TV and PC) format. You will need Windows XP or Vista and most computers will run the video at realtime speeds. Obviously faster is better. With digital video formats, Traqview will play from a high-speed Compact Flash or SD card when used with a USB 2.0 high-speed reader.

What are the limitations?

Traqview Video is a player. It will not write out a video file with overlayed gauges. For that capability we offer the third-party TrackVision program, also in this store.

Traqview Video can only play video for one driver at a time.

When used with a camera other than our TraqCam setup, the user must synchronize the data and video manually. This is relatively easy with the powerful synchronization tools provided.

What's the difference between Traqview Video and TrackVision?

Traqview Video allows you to play your video at the track as a synchronized window in Traqview. TrackVision allows you to merge the data and video files as a post-process with a graphic gauge overlay.

If you want video for analysis at the track, get Traqview Video and use it with a digital recorder. If you want to archive your runs or share them as a video file, TrackVision would be the best choice.
