Tips Before Arrival & Frequently Asked Questions
We suggest that you wear comfortable clothing and comfortable driving shoes, such as running/tennis shoes or driving shoes. No open-toed shoes are allowed. Helmets are required at all times on the race track, as are seat belts. If you do not have a helmet of your own, please contact us immediately so we can arrange to have one for you, or allow us to suggest where you can purchase a helmet of your own.
If you usually have a few drinks during the evening, you might consider having a few less drinks the night before hand. High-Performance Driving is very taxing on the body and brain, and rewards being well-rested and well hydrated.
Make sure your car is ready for a day of lapping!
It is strongly recommended you have your car properly inspected and prepared for a day of high-performance driving. Worn-out and/or high-mileage brake pads and tires will make your day a very SHORT experience. Fresh Brake Pads and Tires are always a good idea not only for safety, but for increased performance as well. Tire Pressures are generally increased for performance driving to reduce the amount of 'side-wall flex' in the tires and to sustain a better contact-patch with the road while cornering at high G-forces. All fluids must be full, etc.
If you are unsure or unable to prepare your car yourself, you may bring your car to your dealership or any high-performance shop for inspection & preparation.
Please keep in mind that you must remove or secure ANY loose objects in the cockpit and trunk of your car, as they become DANGEROUS mobile objects at speed that will impair your driving experience!. Such items are; Cell Phones, Chargers, Radar Detectors, CD's, Coffee Cups, bottles, clothing, books, papers, small farm animals, etc...
Gas will be available for purchase on-site at the track.
The following octane fuel is generally available at most race tracks:
93 Octane 100 Octane 110 Octane 112 Octane 116 Octane
It is always a good idea to arrive with a full tank of gas in case the fuel pumps are not open early in the morning.
