About Performance Drink
The First Scientifically Proven Performance Enhancing Drink on the market.
With extensive clinical testing, PerformanceDrink has qualified and quantified specific formulas for many types of sporting events over the past 8 years. PerformanceDrink has been proven to increase your time to exhaustion by a minimum of 10% and an average of 24%, as published in the International Journal of Sport Nutrition.
PerformanceDrink, Inc. is passionately committed to the development and study of formulas to improve the performance, nutrition, safety, and well being of all men, women and children. We are dedicated to providing the most innovative and advanced food formulas, allowing each individual to reach their personal goals.
The current line of drink formulas are based on basic combinations of the body's most fundamental needs. Molecules of natural carbohydrates and sugars are combined in a manner to help provide the body with all of the energy it needs over long periods of time. The results can be dramatic. Using PerformanceDrink can increase your focus, improve your mental functions and extend your muscles time to exhaustion up to 40%. This not only allows the professional and amateur athletes to perform at their peak for longer, but can help so many other professions be the best and safest at what they do.
Performance Drink - How It Works
The following is a basic interpretation of how your body functions, and how PerformanceDrink interacts with the different stages of physical exertion. For more precise scientific explanations, go to our Proven Science area.
How Your Body Works
When excersizing, muscles in your body need three main ingedients: Water, Oxygen, and Glucose. Glucose is a simple carbohydrate (sugar) that provides the fuel for the metabolic process. Your body breaks down the foods and liquids you consume during digestion, and absorbs the water and nutrients into the blood stream where it is then stored in the muscles and liver in the form of Glycogen. Glycogen is simply a complex chain of molecules made up of the absorbed glucose and serves as the storage mechanism until the body needs it.
Different foods provide different variations of nutrients that although are thought to be the same, are not. For instance, Apples are a good source of fructose. But if you took four different kinds of apples (Macintosh, Cortland, Red Delicious, or Granny Smith), they have different colors, shapes, growth patterns, leaves, and cooking techniques, and therefore have different kinds of fructose. The same can be said for any other types of vegetables and grains that serve as the ingredients of PerformanceDrink.
As an athlete begins to put their muscles to work, glucose is expended. A certain amount of glycogen is stored in the muscles themselves for quick access, and the rest is stored in the liver. As the body expends glucose, the liver and muscles replenish the supply. If any of the ingredients are depleted below optimum levels, then the muscles start to break down, and can no longer perform the same work as efficiently, leading to the production of breakdown byproducts such as lactic acid.
As lactate levels rise, the ability for the muscles to do the same amount of work efficiently is inhibited, making the athlete work harder for the same level of performance, until they eventually reach the point of exhaustion.
When the athlete gets nearer to exhaustion, blood glucose levels will be low enough to start to have an affect on many bodily functions. Visual accuity, mental awareness, as well as dexterity start to decline. In many sports, these functions are extremely important, and the athlete cannot afford to let these functions decline.
The PerformanceDrink Advantage
The PerformanceDrink formulas work by providing your body with the glycogen stores it needs over the course of your athletic events and the associated recovery. The solutions are formulated to be absorbed in such a manner to keep your blood glucose levels at their optimum levels for longer periods of time than typical "energy" and electrolyte replacement drinks.
PerformanceDrink is not a replacement drink. It is a drink you take before your event to make sure that you are at your best during your event. It's not a drink that gives you a buzz, or contains strange and exotic plants that no one knows about. It simply contains basic carbohydrates made from the common things you already eat, such as fruits, vegetables and grains.
The advantages are simple. With proven increases of 10-40% time to exhaustion, and amazing recovery rates, it is an advantage you can't afford to give to your competitor.
